Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of papers and grants and is the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She has offered consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments around the globe. She acts as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
